The 78th Cannes Film Festival has officially concluded. Since May 13, actors, directors, producers, and influencers have graced the iconic red carpet—a highlight for both dedicated cinephiles and fashion enthusiasts alike. Celebrities arrive not only to promote their latest films but also to make memorable fashion statements.

This year, the fashion stakes were raised even before the festival began, following a last-minute change to the official dress code. Nudity was strictly banned, putting an end to the popular “naked” dress trend that has dominated recent red carpets. Additionally, “voluminous outfits” with large trains were prohibited to ease crowd movement.

Some stars, like Halle Berry, respected the new rules. “I had an amazing dress by Gaurav Gupta that I can’t wear tonight because the train is too long,” she explained at a press conference. “I’m not going to break the rules.” However, others defiantly stuck to their original plans. Heidi Klum and Wan QianHui led the charge, arriving in bold gowns featuring dramatic, cascading trains.
